BIOGRAPHIE

 

Elyzabeth Diaga baigne dès son plus jeune âge dans les arts de la scène, développant une passion pour le chant, la danse et le théâtre. Polyglotte et dotée d’une voix versatile, elle navigue avec aisance entre différents styles, toujours guidée par son instinct et sa créativité. (Elle ne chante toutefois pas l’opéra.) Née à Montréal dans une famille d’artistes — sa mère est la soprano Nicole Lorange et son père le sculpteur Kieff Grediaga — elle bénéficie d’un environnement propice à l’expression artistique.

À 17 ans, elle participe à une comédie musicale, puis rejoint son premier groupe de reprises, Fairlites, avant de fonder Dizzy Miss Lizzy, qui conquiert les scènes rock du Québec. Elle se distingue au Festival d’Espagne et d’Amérique latine de Montréal, interprétant des tangos argentins avec le célèbre bandonéiste Raúl Jaurena, et enregistre No Pasaran avec un orchestre symphonique à Prague pour l’album Les Ailes du Feu de Philippe Leduc.

En 1996, elle sort son premier album (Disques Victoire) avec les hits Touche Pas et Voyeurs, diffusés au Québec et en France, et lui valant une nomination au Juno et une représentation aux Francofolies de La Rochelle. En 2001, elle surprend avec DIAGA, un album de musique électronique qu’elle co-écrit, co-produit et pour lequel elle fonde son propre label. L’album est présenté dans quelques lieux branchés de Montréal et au Festival International de Jazz de Montréal en 2003.

Entre 2004 et 2013, Elyzabeth multiplie les projets artistiques : comédies musicales (Dracula, Shéhérazade), voix pour Disney et Ubisoft, spectacles de cirque (Cavalia) et jazz-lounge (The Lounge Queen), ainsi que la revue glam rock Rock Story.

En 2013, elle crée Queens of Rock, un hommage aux grandes dames du rock, présenté devant des salles combles à Montréal. Le spectacle connaît un succès fulgurant et prend vie à Las Vegas en 2017, avec des musiciens renommés tels qu’Yves Frulla et Jean-François Houle. Le 21 avril 2018, la première officielle a lieu au Green Valley Ranch, suivie de représentations au Red Rock Casino et au Club Madrid Showroom.

Le 8 mars 2020, le public québécois la redécouvre lors d’un passage flamboyant à La Voix 8, interprétant le succès de Heart Crazy on You. Quelques mois plus tard, le 8 octobre 2020, Elyzabeth inaugure sa résidence sur la Las Vegas Strip au Théâtre Mosaic on the Strip avec Queens of Rock, devenant le premier spectacle à réouvrir la Strip après la pandémie. Elle est ainsi la quatrième Canadienne à avoir un spectacle en résidence à Las Vegas, après Céline Dion, Véronic DiCaire et Shania Twain, et reçoit de nombreuses distinctions, dont « Meilleur Spectacle Hommage 2021 » par le Las Vegas Weekly.

De 2022 à 2024, Elyzabeth fait des allers-retours entre le Québec et Las Vegas pour présenter Queens of Rock, son spectacle acoustique Velvet Variations et participer à des festivals comme Daybreak Festival. De retour définitivement au Québec depuis 2025, elle continue d’éblouir le public avec son charisme et sa voix exceptionnelle.

En 2026, elle fonde également son cours Rock the Stage, où elle enseigne la présence et la confiance scénique aux artistes émergents, tout en préparant de beaux projets à venir.

BIOGRAPHY 

 

Elyzabeth Diaga has been immersed in the performing arts from a very young age, developing a passion for singing, dance, and theater. A polyglot with a versatile voice, she effortlessly moves between styles, always guided by her instinct and creativity. (She does not sing opera.) Born in Montreal into a family of artists — her mother, soprano Nicole Lorange, and her father, sculptor Kieff Grediaga — she grew up in an environment that nurtured artistic expression.

​

At 17, she performed in a musical and shortly after joined her first cover band, Fairlites, before founding Dizzy Miss Lizzy, which conquered Quebec’s rock bar scene. She stood out at the Festival of Spain and Latin America in Montreal, performing Argentine tangos alongside the renowned bandoneonist Raúl Jaurena, and recorded No Pasaran with a symphony orchestra in Prague for Philippe Leduc’s album Les Ailes du Feu.

In 1996, she released her debut album (Disques Victoire) featuring the hits Touche Pas and Voyeurs, which achieved major success in Quebec and France, earning her a Juno Award nomination and a performance at the Francofolies de La Rochelle. In 2001, she surprised audiences with DIAGA, an electronic music album she co-wrote, co-produced, and released on her own independent label. The album was showcased in select trendy venues in Montreal and at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2003.

Between 2004 and 2013, Elyzabeth expanded her artistic range: musicals (Dracula, Shéhérazade), voice work for Disney and Ubisoft, equestrian circus shows (Cavalia), jazz-lounge performances (The Lounge Queen), and the glam rock revue Rock Story.

​

In 2013, she created Queens of Rock, a tribute to the great women of rock, debuting to sold-out audiences in Montreal. The show quickly gained acclaim and came to life in Las Vegas in 2017 with renowned musicians such as Yves Frulla and Jean-François Houle. Its official premiere took place on April 21, 2018, at Green Valley Ranch, followed by performances at the Red Rock Casino and the Club Madrid Showroom.

On March 8, 2020, Quebec audiences rediscovered her during a dazzling appearance on La Voix 8, performing Heart’s hit Crazy on You. A few months later, on October 8, 2020, Elyzabeth inaugurated her residency on the Las Vegas Strip at the Mosaic on the Strip Theater with Queens of Rock, becoming the first show to reopen the Strip after the pandemic. She is the fourth Canadian to have a residency on the Las Vegas Strip, following Céline Dion, Véronic DiCaire, and Shania Twain, earning numerous accolades including Best Tribute Show 2021 by Las Vegas Weekly.

From 2022 to 2024, Elyzabeth split her time between Quebec and Las Vegas, performing Queens of Rock, her acoustic show Velvet Variations, and participating in festivals such as Daybreak Festival.

 

Back permanently in Quebec since 2025, she continues to captivate audiences with her charisma and phenomenal voice.

In 2026, she also launched her Rock the Stage course, teaching stage presence and confidence to emerging artists, while preparing exciting new projects for the year.
